Artist-Investigators
The Artist-Investigator program asks artists to lead our investigation into what happens when people are empowered to own and tell their own stories, and how tools from theater can make social impact outside the rehearsal room.
Life is Living
Each October we collaborate with Youth Speaks to co-curate the theater stage at Life is Living, a free festival in deFremery Park in West Oakland that celebrates urban life through art, wellness activities, and social action.
Community Tours
Our All the Bay’s a Stage Tours bring Cal Shakes performances off the Bruns stage and into community spaces, to create theater that is more accessible to everyone.
