Shakespeare In-Depth
Consider how Shakespeare’s masterpieces invite us to explore ambition, justice, betrayal, greed, loneliness, and abandonment, as well as issues that are urgently relevant today: climate change, global poverty, the political and personal effects of power, the capacity of life itself to offer miracles and second chances. Sign up now for this online lecture series with Cal Shakes’ Resident Dramaturg Philippa Kelly.
Direct Address: Shahrazad Squad
Direct Address continues February 18, with the Shahrazad Squad— a project that emerged out of a community partnership with producer Raeshma Razvi and our canceled 2020 production 1001 Nights (A Retelling). The Squad brings together SWANASA women and non-binary folks to connect through the myths, matriarchs, and memories embedded in their cultural and familial stories. Learn more and register for free!
