We went to see Pygmalion on 8/23 and heard the pre-show Grove Talk given by Kira, who I believe had written her own material. She was solid in every respect, in her scholarship, engagement with the audience, expressive reading of the text and sweetness when complimented! Having heard many pre-show talks at Ashland and other venues, I’d say she was an A+++. So glad you are offering these talks and hope Kira will be back next year.

Patty, how lovely to receive this!!! I will send it on to Ciara (yes, pronounced ‘Kira’) and hope that this lures her back to us as a speaker next year!!! Thank you for taking the time to write in. And indeed she had written the whole thing herself – I loved her beautiful image of the rose imagery on Annie’s set being suggestive of Eliza’s blossoming.
